IT For Charities web site is compiled and managed by myself, Ivan Wainewright, to give non-profit organisations free information on IT products, services and technology appropriate to UK charities. I also offer IT consultancy solely to charities and the non-profit sector, and specialise in offering independent advice on database software, system procurement and IT strategy.

| Selecting Software
If you would like assistance on selecting Fundraising or
Membership databases then I can help. I can help you
analyse your needs, draw up requirements, identify
vendors and see you through to implementation. Database Reviews/Streamlining I can help you review your databases and information requirements. Their usage and usefulness, reporting and analysis capabilities, packages vs bespoke systems, data exchange between systems, de-duplication of work/data, other possible users/areas of use, mailing lists, statistics, remote access and centralising databases. Maximising your fundraising database as a marketing tool and getting the most out of the database. Many organisations do not use their database to its maximum potential. Today's fundraising systems can help you better market your charity, better analyse your donor-base, better research and understand your donors, cut costs and increase donations. I can show you how. Raiser's Edge consultant I have over 8 years experience of using The Raiser's Edge, and I have worked with organisations large and small on v6 and v7. Personal Background
I set up my consultancy business in 1998 to help
non-profit organisations improve their IT usage and
understanding. I have been working in IT for over 13 years in
customer support, training, sales and consultancy. This includes
over 6 years working with the non-profit sector. Between 1994 and
1998 I worked for Blackbaud Europe, providing fundraising
software to the voluntary sector. During this time I worked with
over 100 non-profit organisations including: national and
international charities, local charities, museums, theatres,
hospices, universities and schools; and I trained users with no
PC skills through to IT managers. I have also worked in software
houses and network suppliers with various applications over a
range of industry sectors.
